This policy explains what Casa collects, how household data is used, which Apple services support the app, how long data is retained, and how users can delete their account.

Information collected
Casa collects only the information needed to create accounts, organize shared households, synchronize household content, send requested notifications, and support app features.
Account information
Casa may collect an account identifier, display name, email address where provided by the sign-in provider, authentication status, household membership, role, invitation status, and app settings. Production builds may use Sign in with Apple when configured.
Household data
Casa stores household names, member lists, roles, invitation records, ownership state, household settings, and related activity needed to keep each household synchronized for its members.
Chores
Casa stores chores, assignments, recurrence settings, due dates, completion status, notes attached to chores, and history needed to display household responsibilities.
Bills
Casa stores bill titles, amounts, due dates, responsible members, payment state, recurrence details, and related notes entered by household members.
Notes
Casa stores shared notes and note metadata, including title, body, author or editor references, timestamps, and household association.
Uploaded documents
Casa may store household documents that users import or upload, along with file names, replacement history, timestamps, and metadata required to display, replace, or remove those documents.
Notifications
Casa may collect notification preferences, device notification routing data, and delivery-related metadata needed to send reminders and household updates. Production builds may use Apple Push Notification service where configured.
Location
Casa does not store location history. If an optional weather feature is enabled in production, Casa may request approximate location or a user-selected household location only to show relevant weather information. Casa should remain usable if optional location permission is denied.
How information is used
To create and authenticate accounts.
To create households, invite members, and enforce household access.
To synchronize chores, bills, notes, documents, reminders, and settings across household members.
To send reminders and notifications requested through the app.
To provide support, investigate issues, and maintain security.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Service.
How data is stored
Casa is designed to store shared household data using Apple iCloud and CloudKit in production where configured. Apple may process data as needed to provide iCloud, CloudKit, Sign in with Apple, Apple Push Notification service, and WeatherKit services. Some Apple services described in this policy will be enabled in production builds when the corresponding app features are configured.
Casa does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising SDKs. If analytics, crash reporting, or additional service providers are added in the future, this policy will be updated before those services are used.
Data retention
Casa retains account and household data for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain household records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Deleted content is removed from active app views and may remain in backups or provider systems for a limited period consistent with normal service operations.
Account deletion
Users can initiate account deletion inside Casa from Settings. Deleting an account permanently removes the account from Casa and begins removal of associated CloudKit data controlled by Casa. Household owners may need to transfer ownership or delete the household before account deletion can complete, so shared household data is not left without an owner.
Casa is not directed to children under 13. Casa does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Casa, contact support so the information can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
